Marianne E. Miller

Marianne E. Miller, 85, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026. Born on June 15, 1941, to Leopold and Anna Zbiegien, Marianne was a woman of deep faith and a dedicated member of Holy Family Parish. Following a long and fulfilling career at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, she enjoyed a retirement filled with the simple joys of arts, crafts, and puzzles. She will be fondly remembered for her sharp sense of humor, her infectious laugh, and the immense love she shared with her family and friends.

Marianne was preceded in death by her parents, as well as the father of her children, Richard F. Polivka, and her brothers, Leonard, Jim, and Raymond.

Her memory lives on through her loving husband, Scott Miller; her children, Richard (Jackie) Polivka and Christen (Joe) Rinehart; and her cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, and David. She is also survived by her siblings, Andrea Zbiegien, Jack Zbiegien, Margaret Hatina, and Angela Thompson, along with many dear nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, August 3rd, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Felix Silagan at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4th, at Holy Family Parish, located at 3179 Kent Rd., Stow.

Interment will be scheduled at a later date.
