Margaret Louise "Peggy" Skinner Johnson

Margaret Louise "Peggy" Skinner Johnson, age 77 of Akron passed away on Sunday morning, July 26, 2026. She was born in Ravenna, Ohio on February 15, 1949 to the late Vico and Inez {Murray} Paolucci.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her brothers John and Anthony "Tony" Paolucci.

Peggy is survived by her brothers Jim, Bob and Joe Paolucci and their families; beloved husband Gerald "Jerry" Johnson; sons Frank (Timi) and Brad; loyal dogs Bella and Polly.

Peggy was a hardworking entrepreneur who went on to receive her Associate of Applied Business in Business Management from Brown-Mackie College. Peggy loved music, and enjoyed singing at church throughout her life. She was a songwriter and lead singer in multiple country bands over the years, as well.

Peggy was a devout Christian and a woman of strong faith, as well as a member of Springfield Church of the Brethren for many years.

Peggy's proudest achievement was becoming a mother. She deeply adored her sons, Frankie and Brad. She also had an immense passion for dogs, having adopted and fosters in need throughout her life.

Peggy's memory will always be cherished by those that knew and love her.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home ,131 N Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Monday, August 3rd from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service that begins at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Carver officiating.
