Margaret Elizabeth Gangel, 98, of Akron, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2015. She was born in Akron on July 9, 1916 to the late Arthur and Grace Edwards. Margaret was a devoted homemaker and will be deeply missed by her loving family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Harold Edwards, Doris L. Russell, Kenneth B. Edwards, and Virgil E. Edwards. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Fred Gangel; son and daughter-in-law, David and Kathryn Gangel; grandchildren, Hollyann (Mark) Jenkins and Marshall (Meghan) Gangel; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Gavin, and Lilyan Jenkins; nieces, Barbara Brock and Brenda Parker; and nephew, John Russell.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 10-11 followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Private burial will take place at Lakewood Cemetery.
