Margaret "Peggy" A. Cooper, 72, of Wadsworth, passed away on June 15, 2025. Born on December 12, 1952, in Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Lee and Wanda Suntheimer. Peggy was a 1970 graduate of Canton South. After graduation, Peggy served her country by enlisting in the United States Navy.
In her later years, Peggy dedicated herself to the Peninsula Art Academy as a volunteer coordinator, where she shared her passion for the arts by teaching various workshops. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, sewing, and spending time with family. Peggy was also known to have a profound love for animals and anything Harry Potter.
Peggy is preceded in death by her beloved brother, Eugene Donald, and sister, Cheryl Hooper.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 28 years, Patrick Cooper; her loving daughter, Wendy (Justin) Mitchell; her sister, Susan (Bob) Hughes; as well as her nephews, Jason (Allison) and Brian (Megan) Hughes.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them for a Celebration of Peggy's Life on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Howe Road Park (988 East Howe Road, Tallmadge, OH 44278) from 12pm until 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Peninsula Art Academy or the Summit County Humane Society in memory of Peggy.
