Manuel John Hughes

Manuel John Hughes, 70, of Akron, passed away on April 12, 2026. He was born on September 2, 1955 to the late John T. Hughes and Minnie L. {Dudley} Hughes Tyler.

In addition to his parents, Manuel was preceded in death by his brother J. Walter "Butch" Dudley and sister Willetta McCray.

Manuel is survived by his loving daughter, India (Damon) Moore; grandchildren R'Monee Brown, Danica Moore and Dacian Moore; brothers Nathaniel Williams and Michael Hughes; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Manuel was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, following in his father John's footsteps.
