Mae E. Lam, 88, passed away on October 1, 2009. She was born in Akron on April 19, 1921. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Lam; and her sister-in-law, Nellie Bogovitz. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Mary Diller; brother-in-law, Henry Lam; 5 nieces; 6 great-nieces; 2 great-nephews; and her dog, Abby. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 4-6 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
