Mae L. Cephus

Mae L. Cephus, 83, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord and her husband, James B. Cephus, on November 3, 2025. Mae was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio, and was born in Memphis, Tennessee.

Mae worked as a caregiver for many years, and was also an Eastern Star member.

Mae leaves to cherish her memory daughter Aletta "Gin" Cephus and son Quincy "Sugar Man" Jointer; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; step-daughter Jean of Pittsburgh, PA; special niece Annette (Laron "Sugar") Sledge; lifelong friend Bernice; a host of other relatives and friends.
