Madalen M. (Royer) Grof

Madalen Marie (Royer) Grof, 67, of Akron, passed away September 8, 2016. Madalen was born in Akron, Ohio on April 20, 1949. Madalen was an avid bowler and she loved gardening, attending Cleveland Indians games, Barberton Speedway and county fairs. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her dog "Lil Bit."

Madalen was preceded in death by her loving husband, David; mother, Marian Hummell; and grandson, Michael Derring.

She is survived by daughters, Marjorie (Bill Moore) Royer, Marian (Rick) Derring of Las Vegas, NV and Brenda (John) Garvin; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
