Mabel E. Booth, 84, went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2014.

She was born on March 31, 1930 in Akron.

Preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Booth and Gary Pitman.

Survived by her sister, Judy (Jim) Curtis; sister-in-law, Shirley Booth; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was an ordained minister and a member of Community Gospel Tabernacle for nearly 40 years.

Calling hours will be Thursday, 4-6 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. A committal service will be held Friday, 10 a.m. at the mausoleum chapel at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd. Akron.
