Lynda S. Welch

Lynda S. Welch, 63, of Akron, passed away on June 11, 2025. She was born on July 26, 1961 the daughter of the late Alford and Helen Kleintop. Lynda graduated with the class of 1979 from North High School. She worked for Mulberry Gardens for many years. She was a woman of faith and was known for her unwavering commitment to others, often putting their needs above her own. She enjoyed bingo and crafts but her greatest love was for her family.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings Dorothy Hoye, Elden Kleintop, and Jim Kleintop.

Lynda is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Frank W. Welch Jr.; son Shawn (Jamie Tavenier) Welch; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Lynda will always be remembered for her selfless and loving kindness, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Lynda exemplified a spirit of generosity and empathy throughout her life, touching the hearts of many. 

Visitation will be held 11:00am to 12:00pm, on Friday, June 20th at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 12:00pm.with Pastor Amy Downard officiating. 

Interment will be held at Northlawn Memorial Park.
