Luther Clifton Weeks Jr. "Sonny", 85, of Kent, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on March 1, 2026.  He was born on December 28, 1940 the son of the late Luther and Irene Weeks. of Jenkins, Kentucky.  Sonny proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.  Sonny retired after many years of dedicated service from General Motors in Lordstown, Ohio.  He also took great pride in being a Mason just like his father.  Sonny was so much more than he gave himself credit for.  He could do everything from building a car, refinishing a piece of furniture to making stained glass pieces.  He took Tae Kwon Do classes and earned himself a brown belt.  Being part of the Ivory Mountain Buck Skinners Club was another passion where he made life long friends that he considered family.  He was so proud to be a good old country boy from the beautiful mountains of Kentucky where the winding country roads have finally taken him home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Sarah Weeks and Ramona Moff.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Patty Weeks; daughters Terrace Weeks and Rachel (Steve) Miller; sons William (Alice) Rhodes and David (Mandy) Tinlin Jr.; grandchildren Cheyenne, Dylan, Halley, Breaha, Caden, and Laney; great-grandchildren Maevrie and Sophia; brother-in-law but more like a brother Ted Hughes; and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

Memorial announcements will be announced at a later date.
