Lud cherished his time growing up as an outdoorsman on the Mesabi Range of Minnesota and maintained strong lifelong ties to family members who remained on the range. Ludvik was a skilled machinist and woodworking craftsman. After coming to Euclid in the 1930s, he designed and built his own house in which he raised his family and lived with his wife for over 60 years. Ludvik also crafted many items from the wood of trees he cut down himself. His projects included a canoe, birdhouses, and many pieces of furniture including two beds for his grandsons that are presently being used by great-grandsons.
The family wishes to express gratitude for the loving care Ludvik received at Mulberry Gardens in his last few years of life.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation for a half hour prior at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3450 Sycamore Dr., Stow, OH. He will be laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield.
