Lucille E. Newman, 96, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2015 at Mapleshire Nursing Home in Morgantown, West Virginia with her family beside her. She was born March 14, 1919 in Sutherland, Kingwood, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Burley and Anna Trickett.
Lucille enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, and the lottery. She also enjoyed spending time with her family in Morgantown, West Virginia. She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy and David Bunnell of Westover, West Virginia, Genevieve Everly of Granville, West Virginia, Bonnie Lamb of Akron, Ohio, and Joyce Knecht of Wheeling, West Virginia; sons, Howard and Bill Newman of Akron, Ohio. She also leaves one brother, Edward Trickett of Morgantown, West Virginia; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayman Newman in 2000; daughter, Shirley Reed; son, Ronnie Newman; four sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 14, 2015 from 11-1 followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
