With profound love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Louise Julia Perkins, who departed this life on June 23, 2026, at the age of 90, surrounded by her loving daughter and grandchildren.

Born on November 4, 1935, in Akron, Ohio, Louise was a proud lifelong resident who dedicated her life to serving others. For more than 40 years, she worked as a Behavioral Health Technician, where her compassion, patience, and caring nature touched countless lives.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Julia Murray Thompson; her father, Alfred Murray; brothers Ronald Murray & Charles Murray; and her cherished sons, Zachary Brock and Cecil Marvin Perkins III. Louise leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Zandra Harris; her beloved grandchildren, Kennita Harris; Brandon Anderson, Zachary Brock Jr.; Yolanda Murphy (Perkins), Yvonne Pruiett (Perkins), Helen Spear (Perkins), Marvin Perkins, Yasmine Perkins, and Marissa Perkins; daughter in laws Bonita Dantonji (Perkins) & Beverly Brock . She also leaves behind 30 great-grandchildren.

Calling Hours will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, Oh 44305 on Friday, July 3rd at 10 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 12:00 p.m. Private repass to follow. Louise will be cremated & laid to rest in close proximity to her mother, father, brother, son & other family members in Akron, Ohio during a private burial at a later date.
