Listen to Obituary

Lorna Elaine Emanuele (Whited) went to be with her sweet Jesus on January 15, 2026.

Lorna was born August 25, 1949 in Richlands, Virginia to Norma Jean (Keen) and Jack Whited. The family moved to Akron, where years later, she met the love of her life, Michael Emanuele. Lorna and Mike had two children, Michael and Lorena (Rena). Above all, Lorna loved her family - especially her Mike. She was "Nanny" to her seven grandchildren and she loved spoiling them to no end. Beyond her immediate family, Lorna touched many lives - she was like a second mother to many nieces and nephews, Michael and Rena's friends and many others that found themselves in need of someone to talk to without judgement or condemnation. Lorna accepted people for who they were, wherever they were in life.

Lorna found joy in seeing the joy of others - especially her family. She was opinionated and ornery and had no problem sharing what was on her mind. Lorna loved music and reading. She enjoyed sitting on her porch breathing fresh air with sunshine on her face. She loved being with her family and seeing them all together. Lorna was a homemaker and a great cook. If you ask her family, her specialty was the lasagna that she made at Christmas and on special occasions. Lorna will be deeply missed by her family and all the others she touched with her unconditional love and acceptance. She was truly one of a kind and those who knew her are blessed to have done so.

She is survived by her husband of nearly sixty years, Mike; her son, Michael (Britton); her daughter, Rena (Jason) Davis; her grandchildren Bella, Eve, Parker, Camden, Chance, Skye and Zane; her sister, Wanda; her brother, Danny (Sandy); her sister, Dorthy Jean; her stepmother, Linda and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norma Jean and Jack Whited; her stepfather Jack Dillon; her sister, Angie and her brother, Chad.

A celebration of Lorna’s beautiful life will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Randolph Community Center 1657 State Route 44 Atwater, OH 44201. Please spread the word to those who loved Lorna that may not be on the internet.
