Loretta "Teddie" J. Vaughan

"Teddie" Loretta J. Vaughan, 91, peacefully died surrounded by family at home on January 29, 2026. Teddie retired from Summa Health System Emergency Department as the Administrative Secretary. When she retired Teddie kept the ED together by organizing yearly reunions. She enjoyed playing euchre with friends at the euchre club she ran at Turkeyfoot Sportsmans Club in Portage Lakes. Teddie was an avid reader enjoying mystery novels with a twist. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor, infectious smile, and the love in her heart for her family and her feline and canine family.

Teddie is survived by daughter, Teresa E. Bensinger; sister Betty M. Scherer; grandsons Neil (Meghan) Black and Ryan Black; niece Cynthia Cauckwell and family; many wonderful cousins which she loved dearly; and her beloved feline companions.

There will be no public viewing or calling hours. Cremation has taken place.

Memorials may be sent to the Humane Society or One Of A Kind Pet Rescue.
