Lorene Adele Butcher

Lorene Adele Butcher, 82, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025. Born in Akron, Ohio to Alfred and Ruth (Walters) Hart, she was a lifelong area resident. Lorene retired from working at JoAnn Fabrics after 25 years of service. She was a member of LifeSpring Christian Church for many years. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, nature, gardening, singing in the choir and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Lorene was preceded in death by her former spouse, Ronald Butcher. She will be sadly missed by her sons, Brian (former spouse, Tracy), Darren (Amee) Butcher, Randy Butcher (Chris Fox); grandchildren, Jake, Jessica, Kate; brother, Gil (Becky) Hart; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Mount Peace Cemetery.
