Lois Helen Staats

Lois Helen Staats, 97, of Akron, passed away on November 8, 2016. She was born in Akron on December 13, 1918 to the late Henry and Winnie Warner. During World War II, Lois worked at BF Goodrich and then later devoted herself to raising her family. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress and enjoyed gardening, card games, and baseball.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Staats; sister, Pauline Goodwill; and brother, Donald Warner. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Karen (David) Stevens of Colorado; son, Gary (Suzanne) Staats of Uniontown; sister, Vera Warner; twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 9:30-10 followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral service at First Baptist Church of Akron, 1670 Shatto Ave., Akron, OH 44313. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Akron.
