Lois E. Kelvington

Lois Elfleda Kelvington, 90, of Akron, passed away on March 4, 2026. She was born on September 16, 1935 to the late William and Verna {Hamer} Ake.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband Earl R. Kelvington Jr., their son William "Ross" Kelvington, and her brothers Gerald, Paul, Harold and Verle Ake.

Lois is survived by her loving son, Earl R. Kelvington, III (Sharon); grandsons, Luke (Joanna), Michael (Meg) and Kyle Kelvington, and Billy Hardie; great-grandchildren Monroe, Clara Grace, McKinley, Madison, MacArthur, Moriah; many nieces and nephews.

Lois and Earl Jr. were longtime volunteers at The Haven of Rest Ministries in Akron. They also owned and operated Kelvington Auto Service.

Family and friends are invited to visit to at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Monday, March 16th from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., when the funeral service will begin with Pastor John Burton officiating. A committal service will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where Lois will be laid to rest with Earl Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois' memory are suggested to The Haven of Rest Ministries.
