Lloyd Earl Phillips

Lloyd Earl Phillips, age 75 of Mogadore, Ohio, died on July 9, 2016 at his home at 4:20 PM after a courageous battle with dementia and cancer.
He was born in Waynesburg, PA on July 7, 1941 the son of the late William Albert and Edna Mae Cook Phillips.
Mr. Phillips was an honorably discharged US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Lloyd retired in 2000 from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Goodyear Hunting and Fishing Club, and Goodyear Zeppelin Gun Club.
Lloyd was a member of the Springfield Fellowship Church, where he was a past trustee.
Survivors include his wife, the former Susan Fraley, whom he married on June 24, 1967; his children, Brian A., and Michael L. (Kristy); 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; his siblings, George Phillips, Viola Johnson, and Opal Gilmore also survive.
Other than his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Suffield Fellowship Church, 1669 East Waterloo Road, Mogadore, Ohio 44260, where family and friend may visit from 11 AM until the time of the service.
Visitation will also be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (choose the chapter of your choice), in his memory.
