Linda Sue (Bixler) (Busch) Smith

Linda Sue (Bixler) (Busch) Smith, age 81, of Akron, passed away on April 2, 2025. She was born on April 4, 1943 to Lloyd and Hazel (Gates) Bixler at Akron, OH. Linda was retired from BMX Technology as a computerized welder. She had owned and operated her own janitorial business for over 30 years. She was an avid seamstress and was well known for the baby sweaters she would crochet. Linda loved to dance and was a member of Eagles 555 and Orioles 167.

She is proceeded in death by her oldest daughter Debora K. Wood. She is survived by her sister Susan Bartholomew; daughter Jodi L. Busch; granddaughter Kreslyn Anderson (Marcus); 2 great-grandsons Cameron Bennett and Holdyn Schneider.

Visitation will be held Wednesday April 9th from 11 AM-12 noon at Newcomer Funeral Home. Funeral services begin at 12 noon in the funeral home. Final resting place is Greenlawn Memorial Park.
