Linda C. Pennock

Linda C. Pennock, 78, passed away on April 3, 2026. She was born on June 3, 1947 the daughter of the late Ross and Ruth Christiansen of Cleveland, Ohio. Linda graduated with the class of 1965 from Streetsboro High School. Linda retired after many years of dedicated service from Buckingham Doolittle and Burroughs as an office manager. Linda was also a devoted member of the Home Lighthouse Community Church, her faith was a guiding force in her life, inspiring her acts of kindness and her unwavering support for her community. She lived a life marked by selflessness and dedication to the well-being of others. Throughout her lifetime, Linda was deeply involved in volunteer work, generously giving her time and energy to organizations such as the Brimfield Lions, the Brimfield Young at Heart and the ACLD in Stow. Her commitment to service was a testament to her compassionate spirit and her desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around her.

Linda enjoyed "Stamping Up" especially with her grandson. Linda also enjoyed playing cards and board games.

She will always be remembered for the love of family, her loving and compassionate heart, and her sense of humor and her smile.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Linda is survived by her loving family, son Kurt A. Mariola Sr.; grandson Kurt A. Mariola Jr.; siblings Jon (Pat) Christiansen, Sue (Bill) Richards, Bill (Cindy) Christiansen, Rick Christiansen, and Jill Baessler; and many nieces and nephews. Linda had many friends, two of which have been friends for over 70 years - Judi Krieger and Barb Sell.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 16th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron)

A Funeral Service will be held at 10am Friday, April 17th at Home Lighthouse Community Church (1922 Oakes Dr., Akron 44312) with a one hour prior for visitation from 9:00 to 10:00am. Pastor Matthew Brode will be officiating.
