Linda J. McClellan

Linda J. McClellan, age 79, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on May 16, 1947, Linda lived a life centered on family, kindness, faith, and service to others. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth, strength, and caring spirit touched the lives of many.

For 61 years, Linda shared a loving and devoted marriage with her husband, Robert McClellan. Together they built a life grounded in faith, family, and enduring commitment, creating a legacy of love that will continue through future generations.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Robert McClellan; her sons, Jeremy McClellan and Robbie McClellan (Danielle McClellan); her sisters, Sandra Hart and Pamela Lane; her lifelong friend, Petie Corder; and her cherished grandchildren: Rebecca Campbell, Jacob McClellan, Tyler Kuntz, Dylan Kuntz, Eleanor Richmond, Emma Richmond, Madeline Taormina, Angela Taormina, Stephanie McClellan, Katie McClellan, and Avery Taormina-McClellan.

Throughout her life, Linda dedicated herself to caring for others. She worked at Akron Children’s Hospital, where her compassion and commitment positively impacted countless families. Later, she continued her career at Amanda’s Garden, where she was known for her kindness, hard work, and the genuine connections she made with residents, coworkers, and friends.

A woman of deep faith, Linda was a devoted member of East Market Street Church of God. Her church family was an important part of her life, and she found great strength, fellowship, and joy through her faith and service.

Linda’s greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Her compassion, generosity, and unwavering love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Though she will be deeply missed, Linda’s legacy of love, faith, strength, and dedication to family and service will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, caring heart, and the lasting impact she made on the lives of her family, friends, church community, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Everyone is invited to visit Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to remember her by sharing stories, laughter, and the love she so freely gave throughout her life.
