Linda Jo Lewis

Linda Jo Lewis, 64 went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2014. She was born in Akron on July 10, 1950 to the late Elmer and Ada Smith. Linda was a Certified Nursing Assistant who loved to care for others. She took care of her father, mother, and grandmother in the last years of their lives. Linda was a member of several bowling leagues and enjoyed spending times with family and friends. She and her husband Earl enjoyed traveling together.
Linda is survived by her husband of 42 years, Earl Lewis; her daughters, Cathy Wolf, Tina (Jerry) Rotundo, Traci (Brent) Rowell, Lori (Lee) Jones, Nikki Lewis, and Tammi Barcus; her brother Gary (Diane) Smith, and her sister, Judy (John) Bender; her grandchildren, Brandon Dempsey, Brittany Eitner, Montana Patuc, Jesse (Tamara) Lewis, Casalai Rotundo, Nicole Rotundo, Nicholas Wolf, Danielle Wolf, and Emily Barcus; and her great grandchildren, Mia Ann Kiser, Alanna Dempsey,Leah Dempsey, Xavier Wolf, and Landon Lewis; nieces and nephews, Christa, Tiffany, Kayla, Gary, Opal, and Theresa.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her devoted sister Judy, brother in law John, and lifelong friends Carol Eldridge and Ralph Powell who were instrumental in helping take care of Linda during her battle with cancer. Family and friends may call on Thursday August 7, 2014 from 11 am to 1 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Northlawn Memorial Gardens at 1:30 pm.
