Linda Sue Boyd, 68, beloved mother, wonderful grandmother, and devoted wife, passed away suddenly on August 15, 2025, surrounded by her family. Even through life's changes, Linda cared deeply for those she loved. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Linda was born on April 28, 1957, in Medina, Ohio, the middle child of seven to Helen and Ross Berger. Each of her siblings held a special place in her heart, though she shared an especially close bond with her younger brother, Raymond, who was just eleven months younger than her. She is survived by her siblings, Madelyn, Raymond, and David, and was preceded in death by her brothers Ross, Tom, and Edgar. Linda cherished being part of a large family and was a loving aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A proud East High Dragon, Linda carried her school spirit throughout her life- she would proudly tell her daughters that she knew her school song by heart, even fifty years later. Linda worked faithfully in the health care field until her retirement, a career she truly loved. Had her health allowed, she would have continued long past retirement. Linda was also an avid quilter and gifted crafter. She poured her creativity into surprise handmade gifts for her loved ones, each stitch and detail a reflection of her care and devotion. Her quilts and crafts will continue to bring comfort, joy, and reminders of her love for years to come.
Above all, Linda was a devoted mother to Amanda and Katie. She taught her girls to keep their faith, to stand for what is right, and to finish what they started. She was their sounding board, their example, and their closest friend, guiding them with love and wisdom every step of the way. Still, of all the titles she held, her favorite was "Grandma". Jonathan and Neva-Kate were blessed with the best grandma in the world- from sewing lessons, to heartfelt conversations, to coming in after school to a ready made treat of "after school rice and chicken" - she filled their lives with lasting memories they will treasure forever.
Preceded in death by her "Son in-love" Scott Beal; her parents Ross and Helen Berger; her brothers Ross, Tom, and Edgar, her in-laws Albert and Kathryn Boyd, niece Kyla Boyd and her dearest lifelong friend Neva Light.
Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Linda's primary care physician and his office staff, as well as Illumia Palliative Care team, for the compassionate care and support they provided.
Linda's legacy is one of faith, family, and love. Just as her quilts wrapped others in warmth, her family finds comfort knowing they will always by wrapped in her love; soft, strong, and enduring. She will be deeply missed and joyfully remembered.
