Lillian Mary Johnston

Lillian Mary Johnston, 80, of Norton, passed away November 25, 2016. Lillian was born in Akron, Ohio on October 17, 1936 to the late John and Anne Horak. Lillian worked at Sears for 14 years. She was a devoted wife and mother. Lillian enjoyed playing cards at the Green Senior and Community Center, was an avid gardener and college football fan, and loved taking trips with family.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 59 years, Gene B. Johnston; children, Victoria Johnston (Steven Dieckbrader), Dana Johnston (RoseAnne Polasky), Eric Johnston (Sharon), Gary Johnston (Debbie) and Lori Wilken (Todd); grandchildren, Jessica Manchester (Marcus), and Luke Wilken; siblings, John Horak, Tom Horak (Madelynne), Frank Horak (Sandy), Chuck Horak (Debbie) and Joan Tedrick (Greg).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron. Family and friends will also be received on Friday from 11 am until time of funeral service beginning at 12 pm. She will be laid to rest at East Liberty Cemetery.
