Leroy "Lee" Saenger
Lee Saenger, 96, of Suffield Twp., passed away April 11, 2014, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Barberton on August 4, 1917 to the late Earl and Sadie (nee Breitenstine) Saenger. Lee was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He retired in 1973 as a sales manager from The Hoover Company after 25 years of service. He was a member of the VFW and a lifetime member of the Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club. Prior to his illness, he was an avid golfer for many years.
Lee was preceded in death by his sons, Lee and Alan Saenger; and brother Bill (Marge) Saenger.
Lee will be deeply missed by his loving and devoted wife of 33 years, Martha; daughters, Jan Saenger, Diane (David) Shorie, Kim (Robert) Hoffman; sons, Mark Saenger, Scott (Beth) Saenger; stepdaughters, Judy (Greg) Bills, Janice Ryan; stepson, George Federonick; daughter-in-law, Yolanda Saenger; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Lee's family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Summa, Pastor Barry Bordenkircher, and Terrie Shackelford from the Dept of VA for all their loving care.
Family and friends may call TODAY April 14 from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Barry Bordenkircher officiating. Interment at Clinton Cemetery.
