Leora May Morton, age 96 of Copley, died on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at her home.
She was born in Brunswick, Ohio, on May 26, 1920, the daughter of the late John E. and Elsie Schroeder Smith.
She loved being a homemaker and liked gardening. Leora loved her church.
Survivors include her two children, Richard (Kachina) Morton, and Donna (Andy) Sanyo; her eight grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. One brother also survives, Myron Smith.
Other than her parents, Leora was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill Morton; two children, Charlotte Morton and David Morton; two grandchildren; and two siblings, Evelyn Kersten and Earnest Smith.
Funeral services will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 704 North Firestone Blvd., Akron on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 1:00 PM, where Pastor Robert L. Stephens will celebrate Leora's life. Family and friends may visit at the church on Monday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Harvest Home of Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 East Market Street, Akron, Ohio 44308 and/or Jim and Kathy Tanner, Missionaries, 1000 East First Street, Sanford, FL 32771-1487.
