Leonard "Lenny" M. Dempsey, 69, of Akron, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016. Lenny proudly served his country as a veteran of the US Marine Corps. He is survived by his children, Amy, Mike, Meg, and Andy; grandchildren, Haley, Drew, and Logan; great-grandson, Hayden; mother of his children, Kathy; 3 step-grandchildren; and extended family members, Todd and Chris Uhl, Hunter, Celeste, Jodi Holderbaum and family.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016 at the Army-Navy Club, 2970 N. Bender Ave., Akron, OH 44319 from 2-4 pm. Inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery to take place at a later date.
