Lena Lou Adorni

Lena Lou Adorni, age 81 of Akron passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She was born in Strange Creek, WV on December 29, 1944 to the late Lester M. and Rosalea {Exline} Cutlip.

In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her beloved husband Carl J. Adorni Jr. in 2004, siblings Brenda, Buck, Tiny and Larry Cutlip and step-daughter Tina Massoli.

Lena is survived by her siblings Sharon Cutlip, Barbara Exline, Carolyn Thompson, Delberta (Ben) Wyant, David Cutlip and Clifton (Judy) Cutlip; many nieces and nephews and their families; step-children Carl III (Shirley), Ron (Debbie) and John (Mona) Adorni; step-son-in-law Nick Massoli; several grandchildren.

Lena and Carl operated The Frosted Mug in Mogadore and later, Adorni's Pasta Place Restaurant & Bar on Waterloo Rd. She completed her career at Vincent's Bakery, and Briarwood Nursing Home.

Lena was a Elvis super-fan, and also enjoyed country music. Animals held a special place in her heart, especially her boxers and kitties over the years. Lena could often be found with her face in a book- reading took her to places even she and Carl hadn't traveled.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Wednesday, January 14th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A procession will follow visitation to Greenwood Cemetery, where a committal service will be held, and Lena will be laid to rest with Carl Jr. To leave a special message for Lena’s family, please visit the guest book below.
