Leesa Kay Mitchell

Leesa Kay Mitchell, age 59, of Akron, Ohio, died on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at her home.

She was born on June 27, 1957, in Akron, the daughter of the late William D. and Jean Carroll Klein.

Leesa was a 1975 Ellet High School graduate. She was a caretaker, cook, loved her animals-especially her dogs, and she loved flowers. But her greatest joy was being with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Roy W. Mitchell, Jr., whom she married on June 7, 1980; her children, Roy W. (Tiffany) Mitchell, III, Tony W. (Helga) Mitchell, Andrew (Melissa) Mitchell, and Ryan (Alycia) Klein; her grandchildren, Allysa, Breanna, Emily, Olivia, Katy, Brittany, Lilly, Dominic, Faith, Roy IV, Brantley, and Jason; her siblings, Michael Beam, Lawana (Jerry) Wright, Lori Bonzo, and Lavon Klein.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

Memorial services will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 1:00 PM.
