Leah Smith, 77, passed away Dec. 11, 2008. Leah was a member of The Wintergreen Ledges Church of God. She is survived by her husband, Pat of 58 years; daughters, Kay Stripe (Robert), Linda Benson (John) and Patricia Whited (David); son, Thomas Smith; grandsons, Robert Stripe (Katie), Josh Benson, Jeffrey Stripe (Stacey), Patrick Hall and Andrew Grisak; 5 great-grandchildren; many sisters and brothers; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 10 am to 12 noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with funeral service at noon, Pastor Jim Roma officiating.
