Lawrence A. "Larry" Testa

Lawrence A. “Larry” Testa, 78, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Akron, Ohio, to the late Nick and Irene (Ciolli) Testa, Larry was a proud lifelong resident of North Hill. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy was spending time with his family. His family was his greatest accomplishment and source of pride. Known for his gift of conversation, quick wit, and sense of humor, Larry never met a stranger and could easily strike up a conversation with anyone. He loved sharing stories, cheering on his favorite sports teams, enjoying a good pizza, and creating lasting memories with those he loved most.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Redfern, and brother-in-law, Kenny Redfern. Larry leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Janis; daughters, Marla (Mike) Testa and Sara (Aron) Testa; cherished grandchildren, Hailey (Alex) Golden, Jordan Luster, Juliana Willingham, Vincent Willingham, and Michael Willingham; brother, Donny (Shirley) Testa; son, Mike (Lori) Testa; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, neighbors, and friends who will forever remember his kindness, laughter, storytelling, and unwavering devotion to his faith and his family.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Parish, 300 E. Tallmadge Avenue, Akron, Ohio. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
