Lawrence Meers Sr.
June 30, 1923 — September 1, 2015
Lawrence O. Meers, Sr., 92, joined the Lord on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Lawrence served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 7 years and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mattie and son Jerry. He is survived by his sons William (Ruth), Lawrence Jr. (Tamara), and Daniel; grandchildren Angela, Andrew, Andrea and Tabitha Meers.
Funeral services will be Friday, 11 a.m., September 4, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, Ohio with Pastor Henderson officiating. Burial at Hillside Memorial Park. Friends may call at funeral home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday September 3, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to East Market Street Church of God, 2084 East Market Street, Akron, Ohio 44312.
