Lawrence E. Sumey, Sr.

Lawrence E. Sumey, Sr., 81, of Springfield Twp., passed away November 16, 2013. He was born in Harrisburg, PA on November 28, 1931 to the late Thomas and Rebecca Sumey. Larry was employed for 41 years at Packaging Corp. of America. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lybrook Sumey.

Larry is survived by his sons, Lawrence Jr. (Vicki Donavon), Tom, Roger and Kenny; daughters, Laura (Chester Green) Burton, Gail (Greg) Curtis, Melody (Rick) Sanner, Valerie (Ray) Gault and Sally (Raymond) Breindal; son-in-law, Scott Burton; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Alana Weimer of PA.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, November 19 from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 20 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jack Coontz officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
