Larry A. Gower, 71 of Akron, passed away on June 22, 2017. It was his honor to serve in the US Army. He was a foster parent, steel worker and avid sports fan and master of the knuckle ball. Larry loved children and was a father to few, and "Dad" to many.
He is survived by his children, Larry M. (Jennifer), Jason J., John F. (Corinne), Heidi H., and Ryan; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; Calling hours will be held on Thursday June 29, 2017 from 5-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305.
