Larry E. Burgy, Jr.

Surrounded by family and friends, Larry Burgy, 48, of Akron, went home in the arms of our Lord on May 20, 2018. Born February 19, 1970, Larry graduated from Ellet High School in 1988, and proudly served in the Marine Corps during Operation Desert Storm.

Preceded in death by sister, Lisa; father Larry Sr.; stepdad, Stanley "Mac" McCloud; and step-son, Cody. Larry leaves behind son, Briar; daughter, Wren; step-son, Hunter; mother, Jeanne; wife, Jodi; along with countless other family and friends.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday May 29, 2018 at 10am at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 with service to follow at 11am. Pastor Brenda Young officiating. He will be laid to rest at 1:30pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. As a proud Marine, Larry always said he wouldn't die until given the order. Semper Fi, Marine, we've got it from here.
