Kenneth Robert Winters, 56, of Wadsworth, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025. Kenny was born in Akron, Ohio on February 23, 1969 to Kenneth and Mary Jane Winters.
Kenny grew up in Wadsworth and graduated from Highland High School, Class of 1987. After graduating, he spent a few years working at a gas station before starting his career at Brinks where he was a driver for over 30 years.
Through a co-worker, Kenny was set up on a blind date with Madeline Elliott. They shared a meal and coffee followed by a long drive around Hinckley. It was obvious to both that they were made for each other and they married on October 10, 2010. They were able to celebrate their fifteenth anniversary three days before Kenny's passing.
Kenny and Madeline loved sharing their love of cooking. Kenny had several tried and true recipes, but was especially known for his seven layer cookies.
If you knew Kenny, you knew he loved the Fourth of July. Every summer he would amass hundreds of fireworks and would put on a fantastic show for family and friends. He loved parties and hanging out with friends. He decked out his pole barn with all the man cave necessities and it became the preferred gathering place every weekend. You could count on Kenny to offer a beer, a jello shot, his famous cheese dip, and a great time.
Kenny was devoted to his mother, sister, Judy, and nephew, Zack throughout his life. He lived with and cared for his mother for years and Judy recalls how generous and kind he was. Kenny and Zack had similar senses of humor and loved to joke around together. His hugs were legendary.
Kenny had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest. His family is grateful that he is free from the struggles he faced for the past few years. He will never be forgotten.
Kenny is now reunited with his father, Kenneth W. Winters.
He is survived by his loving wife, Madeline; mother, Mary Jane Winters; sister, Judy Laird (Scott) and her son, Zack; stepchildren, Michael Elliott and Billy Elliott; brothers-in-law, Nick and John Pamboukis; and grandsons.
Per Kenny's wishes, there will be no formal services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
