Kenneth L. Glass, 73, went home to be with the Lord on June 18, 2014.
Born in Louisiana on November 5, 1940 to the late Lindel and Inez (Dumas) Glass. He was a member of Victory Chapel and retired from Springfield School District where he worked as a bus driver. Kenny enjoyed lifting weights, fishing, hunting, gambling, planting flowers, grilling and cooking, travelling, flea markets and auctions, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, June Glass.
Survivors include his devoted wife and best friend of 30 years, Patty; children, Nadine Glass, Rene' (Milan) Petrovich, Crissy Gee, Carla Conley, Bobby (Krystal) Conley, and Rachel (Brian) Steffen; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and brother, Dillard (Kathy) Glass.
Calling hours will be Sunday, 2-5 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service Monday, 12 p.m. at Victory Chapel, 32 West Bellisle, Akron, with visitation one hour prior. Per Kenny's wishes, please dress in casual attire. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victory Chapel.
