Kenneth B. Gilchrist

Kenneth B. Gilchrist, 70, of Akron, passed away on March 9, 2017. He was born in Cleveland, OH on January 20, 1947. He proudly served two terms in Vietnam in the U.S. Marine Corps, earning a Purple Heart and other commendations. Kenneth was a longtime public servant and a gifted opera singer and performer. He is survived by his loving wife, Veronica; six children; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There will be private services held at a later date.
