Keith Wayne White, born April 23, 1963, in Bay Village, Ohio, has decided to trade his trusty drywall tools for a heavenly hammer and nail. He passed away on July 26, 2025, likely after getting into a spirited debate with the universe over who really knows how to finish drywall better.
Keith was a construction wizard who specialized in the fine art of drywall finishing. While some might call this job mundane, for Keith it was a chance to prove that every wall can be a masterpiece, assuming you didn't mind the occasional stubborn streak (which, let's be honest, was a hallmark of his personality). He graduated from Springfield High School in 1982, which marked the last time anyone managed to get him to listen to authority figures.
He was well-known for being a particularly stubborn ass, but he was also a really good grandpa. The grandkids loved him, and perhaps the fondest memory that will echo through the poolside this summer is of July 5th when he took the plunge (quite literally) on those hot days—egged on by his grandkids to do his extravagant cannonball.
Keith also enjoyed a good libation, often found sipping on his favorite 7 & 7 while dreaming of yard work—to which he was surprisingly devoted. There's nothing quite like a man placing his entire legacy on the aesthetics of his lawn!
He leaves behind his trio of successful sons: Nick (Mikey), Derik (Layla Fine), and Jacob (with the ever-organized Meagan). There’s a whole brigade of grandkids to carry on the family legacy—Nicholas, Morgan, Brigitte, Sopheah, Jacob Jr., and Asher—the six pack of fun! He became best friends with his youngest grandson, Asher, a bond forged in pure joy and mischief over firecrackers, backyard antics, and planned escape routes.
Keith was blessed with a lively family that included siblings—Karen Eldridge, Doug (Tish), and Michelle (Tom). Nieces and nephews probably still joke about the many adventures involving Keith, especially those that didn’t go according to plan. And let’s not forget the mother of his children, Kellee Miller, who surely knows the art of patience more than most. Also surviving Keith is his beloved cat, Slider.
He’ll reunite with his dearly departed family members, including parents Hartzel Leon and June Delores (Steele) White, sister Debbie Samples, and brothers Mike White and Denny Mullins, who are likely already having a lively debate with him on the construction codes of heaven. He also is reunited with his lady friend Pat Burgess.
As he transitions to whatever comes next, one can only hope that Keith finds himself in a place where drywall hangs perfectly straight—or maybe just a world with unlimited 7 & 7s and endless yard work without the hassle of actual labor.
Rest well, Keith. Your grandkids will make sure the cannonballs carry on in your honor!
A Celebration of life will be at the residence- time and day will be announced on Meagan’s facebook.
