Kay A. Rittenour

Kay A. Rittenour, 82, of Akron, went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2018. Kay was born on March 26, 1935 in Dover, OH to the late Robert and Catherine Patton. Kay worked as an RN at Children's Hospital for over 40 years. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling all over the country, shopping, and collecting memories from all of her trips. Kay was a cat lover who shared her home with her beloved Precious, Frazzle, and Sparkle.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Charles "Dick" Rittenour; and sister, Patsy Kindig.
Kay was survived by her daughter, Becky (Tom) Huber; sister, Martha Engel; grandchildren, Marian (Adam) Shoemaker, Richard (Jennifer) Rittenour and 3 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Millie Jones.
A memorial service will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank Summa Hospice for their compassion and care over the last few months.
