Kathryn F. Hoyt

Kathryn F. Hoyt, 76, passed away peacefully at home on June, 2, 2025 surrounded by family. Born in Elkins, WV to Earl and Freda (Powell) Zirk, she resided in Akron, OH all of her adult life. Kathryn enjoyed reading, crocheting, working crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by siblings, Carole, Earl, Jr. She will be sadly missed by her children, Amber (Matt) Barchok, Greg Hoyt, Steven Hoyt; grandsons, Maxwell, Alex; sister, Charlotte Bohon; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Per Kathryn's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a celebration of her life at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Kathryn's name to the charity of their choice.
