Kathlene Marie Narney (Hughes) "Kitty" passed away March 28th at home in her sleep after a long illness.
She was born July 9, 1969 to Robert and Darlene Hughes in Akron, OH who loved her very much. Kitty grew up in Akron and graduated from Ellet High School in 1987 where she met her high school sweetheart and husband of 27 years Louis (Lee) Narney. They were married shortly after graduation. Her hobbies included making afghans and the outdoors (camping, hunting, and fishing with her family).
She is survived by her husband Lee, brother Robert S. Hughes, daughters Stephanie (Joseph) Chenevey, Melissa (Mick) Loughry, Rebecca (Mitchell) Schromm, Courtney (Brian) Hanlin, Elizabeth, and Kimberly Narney along with her 4 legged companion Bear. Nieces Michelle and Megan Hughes and her grandchildren Zoey, EmmyLou, AnnaLee, Nicholas, Evelyn, and another on the way. They all deeply loved her and will miss her dearly. She also leaves behind a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 02, 2015 from 10:00 AM to Noon at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd. Akron. Service will be at noon with Pastor Kenneth Frisbee officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations for the family can be made at www.gofundme.com/q9aa7k4.
