Kathleen Annette “Kathy” Tomcik, age 57, passed away September 11, 2026. She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Nicotera, and is survived by her mother, Annette (nee Gerhart), sister Annamarie Norgrove (James), twin sister Connie Carlin (Eric), the love of her life Michael Bilas, nephews and nieces Colton, Monica, Marissa, Adam and Danielle, grandnieces Nya and Monae, and her beloved cats Taco and Ava, who hold a very special place in heart. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends.
Following in her father’s footsteps, Kathy worked her entire career in the car industry as a title clerk. She was a responsible, dedicated, hard-working woman who was loved by all. Kathy loved all things Harley Davidson, classic cars, especially Buick Riveria’s, and was passionate with her love of cats. Kathy’s light was dimmed far too soon, and she will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kitten Krazy, Inc. in Medina, Ohio, the Parma Animal Shelter, or an animal rescue of your choice.
A Mass of Christian Burial to honor and celebrate her life will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 6034 S. Locust St. in Peninsula, Ohio. Cremation arrangements handled by Newcomer Funeral Home in Akron, Ohio.
