Kathleen Norman, "Katbug", age 69 of Akron, Ohio, died on Monday, March 27, 2017 at her son's home.
She was born on October 29, 1947 in Akron, the daughter of Helen Doney Lesniak.
Katbug loved her "boys", and her grandchildren. She enjoyed gambling, especially bingo, watching movies, shopping, and jewelry. Kathy was a fun loving individual that embraced life with a passion.
Mrs. Norman worked for 20+ years at the BWC.
Other than her mother of Akron, survivors include her two sons, Adam (Darla) Norman, and Allen (Lori) Norman; her grandchildren, Victoria, Amber, Tyler, Austin, Brittany, Shawn, Brooke, and Grace; her great-grandchildren, Liam and Zaydin; her siblings, Patricia "Tish" (Daniel) Rafferty and Paul L. Pratt; and many nieces and nephews.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her sister, Sandi Riddel.
Memorial services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11:30 AM, Pastor Harold R. Duncan will celebrate Kathleen's life.
Family and friends may gather from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center and the visiting nurses, Gloria and the rest of the team that came. Also a huge thank you to Beverly Paris for the loving care she gave to our mother, and Tish's soup.
