Katherene "Kathy" Mollica, born on April 5, 1956, passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2025. Known affectionately as Sis or Sissy to her friends and family, Kathy's life was a testament to compassion and devotion, particularly to the welfare of animals and the care of her loved ones.

Kathy always had an unwavering commitment to animal welfare. Her belief that no animal should go hungry drove her to devote countless hours to their care, ensuring that the animals in her community were well-fed and loved. Her home was often a sanctuary for creatures in need, and her actions reflected a deep-seated respect for all living beings.

Kathy's love extended beyond animals to her family and community. She possessed a strong faith in God, which guided her through life and inspired her to care deeply for those around her. Her memory will be cherished and celebrated at a memorial service to be held on August 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Liberty Freewill Baptist Church, located at 3819 Johnson Rd, Norton, Ohio 44203. Pastor Cecil Farmer, II will officiate the service, honoring a life beautifully lived and profoundly impactful.

Kathy is preceded in death by her father, Denver Damron, mother, Neva Jo Damron (Goff) and her sister-in-law, Bernadette Damron. She is survived by her brother, Earl Damron, niece, Chelsea (Ken) Tolliver (Damron), Kennedy and Evan Tolliver and nephew, Dustin (Leslie) Damron and Shelby Damron. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and unconditional love for all living beings will continue to inspire those who knew her and were touched by her generous spirit.
