Karen S. Jay 59, went home to be with the Lord on September 12, 2015. She was born in Akron, OH to the late Williard Shaffer and Ruth Burr. She was employed by Dominion East Ohio for over 15 years where she leaves behind many friends. She was a loving mother, nana and friend. She was survived by her children, Robert Jay and Rebecca (Ronald) Stayer; step-daughter, Roxanne (Lee) Maynard; grandchildren, Dayne, Brandi, Joseph, Ashley, Chealsie, Joshua; great-grandson, Daniel; brothers, Floyd and Thomas Ellis. Per Karen's wishes, a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
