Karen Ann Carroll

Karen Ann {Hall} Carroll, 84, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.

Karen was born on December 18, 1941, in Martins Ferry, Ohio. She spent many years as a resident of Cuyahoga Falls, where she built a life centered on family and friendship. She enjoyed a successful career in sales before retiring and spending many winters in Florida, where she loved soaking up the sunshine and making cherished memories.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Waslis and Howard Hall; her beloved stepfather, John Waslis; and sisters, Janet Orzolek and Georgia Milbert.

She leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Timothy Carroll. She is also survived by her sons, Brian Elliott, Keith Elliott, Dean (Melia) Elliott, and Bruce (Cindy Elliott); her stepdaughters, Candy (Glenn) Pleta and Nikki (Dave) Greathouse; her grandchildren, Danielle (Josh) Wilson, Derek Elliott, Ryan Roderick-Elliott, Conner Elliott, Samantha Tofanelli, Brooke Pleta, Paige Pleta and Blake Pleta; as well as seven beloved great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her tremendous pride and happiness.

Karen will be remembered for her warm smile, and unwavering love for her family. She treasured time spent with those she loved and found joy in life's simple pleasures.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center for the exceptional care, comfort, and dignity they provided to Karen and her loved ones during her final days.

Karen's legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply and the countless memories they will carry with them forever.

Karen's family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Thursday, July 16th from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. A procession will follow to a graveside service at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd.
