June M. White passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on May 25, 1940, she lived a life centered on devotion to her family, steady hard work, and the simple joys that brought her happiness.
June was a dedicated worker who spent many years providing for those she loved. From 1958 to 1976, she worked at General Tire to raise her son, a role that reflected both her strength and her deep commitment as a mother. She also worked at GOJO, Hattie Larlham, Akron General Hospital, and Patriot Steel. Throughout her life, she carried herself with determination and care, always placing family at the heart of her efforts.
She was especially known for the love she expressed through cooking. June loved being in the kitchen, trying new recipes and working to get each one just right. She took special joy in preparing meals for her husband and son, and her cornbread stuffing was a favorite that will be warmly remembered. Her loving nature showed in many everyday moments, including when Rodney was a child and she made him a beautiful cat costume for Halloween, a memory that speaks to her creativity and affection.
June also enjoyed quiet pleasures that made a house feel like home. She loved watching television favorites including Murder, She Wrote, Matlock, In the Heat of the Night, Columbo, Midsomer Murders, Poirot, and American Movie Classics with Bob Dorian. She also enjoyed Everybody Loves Raymond. On weekends, she liked dining out and trying different restaurants, finding pleasure in good food and shared time.
She had a special love for animals and cared deeply for her pets over the years. She adored her puppy Suzzie for 16 years, from 1984 to 2000. She also loved her dogs, Scottie and Cookie, as well as her cats, Angel and Fluffy. The companionship they brought her was an important part of her life.
Above all, June loved her family, especially her son. She is survived by her son, Rodney White. She is also survived by her niece Debbie Dugan and Michael Dugan, and by Debbie’s child, Lisa Blazer. She is further survived by her nephew Bill Badgley, his wife Debbie, and their children Michelle, Amanda, and Billy. June is also remembered by her friend Lisa Scherer and Lisa’s children, Noelle Gyulai and Nicolas Scherer.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Robert White; her father, Willis Badgley; her mother, Ellen Badgley; her father-in-law, Victor Anderson; and her mother-in-law, Geradine White.
